A Case of Stickeritis

Daddy decided Tyler needed to be decorated. October 2007

Blog challenge # 9

What is your favorite household appliance? Why? We want details! Include a photo if you can.

I HATE cooking so my favorite appliance has to be my microwave. No photo needed, if you don't know what a microwave is, I am wondering where you live and what century you are living in. I use it every single day, for warming, cooking and even baking. The greatest invention ever created.

Scrapdango Giveaway!

I am thrilled and honored that Scrapdango is sponsoring a giveaway on their site to promote Suzanne's Year in the Life challenge! The owner, Carrie, is offering a Maya Road lunchbox tin to ANY AND ALL who have completed all the challenges to date. If you haven't been keeping up, it's not hard to catch up, since the cards are meant to take 15 minutes or less to create. (Its okay if it takes you longer, they're your cards, but it really shouldn't. ;-) )Here are the rules to get your very own tin!

1. Complete your cards (5 x 7 or smaller). Challenges can be found on the right hand side of Suzanne's blog and for those who haven't started yet, the original post is HERE.

2. Join the Scrapdango board which is an exciting place to chat with scrappy ladies!

3. Upload your cards to the Scrapdango gallery, or link to your blog. Don't forget this, we want to see your creations and leave some lovin'!

4. Once you've reached Dango Lover posting status (350 posts), Carrie will mail you your Maya Road lunchbox tin!

There! Doesn't that sound fun!!! You get to be creative, meet and enjoy great ladies and win a cool prize!

And a HUGE thank you to Carrie for her generosity! :-)

Blog challenge #8

Complete this paragraph. "Ten years from now, I..."

plan to still be scrapping the adventures of my grandchildren, who will then be 17, 15, 13 and 11. That means one will be driving a car and wonder what the vehicles will be like in 10 years, will they fly or float on the roads, will we even have cars, or will it all be mass transit.

I will have taken several trips to different countries, Germany and Sweden. I will have retired and spend my morning tending my flowers. Phil and I will still be playing golf and continue trying out different courses.

I will still be talking with Suzanne, but now we will be seeing each other as we talk.

I will still be madly in love with my husband and he will still be treating me like a queen.

Suzanne's challenge #7

What store best represents what type of person you are right now? Are you a Macy's or Wal-Mart type of person? Do you wish you were a different store? Take any direction you'd like; either where you shop in real life or comparing your personality to a particular store. Have fun with it!

Right now I would have to say Hobby Lobby best respresents me. I like a lot of different things in my life. I love to be creative, I love soft and sensual items, I love to decorate, doing crafts with my grandkids is one of the greatest pleasures you can think of, I love fabric--even though I don't sew much anymore. I still love to work with yarn, flowers and make my own soap and candles. I love holidays and all the do-dads that come with each holiday. So all in all I believe Hobby Lobby fits my personality to a tee.

Tyler at Halloween

Some of Tyler's Halloween pictures. Is that Aunt Heidi pulling daddy's hair?

Jorja at Halloween

Our little Tiger at Halloween this year. What a cutie

Ally at Halloween

Ally wanted to be Larry this year so mommy made her the custome. Didn't she make a great Larry?

Zach at Halloween

This one was a challenge to do in the traditional Halloween colors, his chess board colors just didn't work with orange. Zach one first price for a Halloween outfit.

Challenge #6

Challenge #6 is to share a recipe I am famous for. Oh my heavens, I am not a good cook and my family could share many tales about some of my NOT so famous receipes. But just last night my wonderful husband told me I make the best sloppy joes in the world (I told you he was wonderful).

There really isn't a recipe for it, I just throw stuff in the pan. I used hamburger, brown sugar, mustard and catsup and that's it.

My Ribbon Holders

My friend Suzanne explained how to make these and I have so much ribbon

Thanks Suzanne
