New recipe & card challenge for Kitchen Keepsakes

I can't believe September is here already, where has the summer gone. It is time for new challenges at Kitchen Keepsake. I hope you will stop over and see all the challenges.

My card challenge is to use embossing powder on your card. I used an embossing folder and then cut out the Christmas trees, added the embossing powder and I wanted to make sure some of the green of the trees showed through. I hope you will give this a try.

The recipe challenge this month is to make your own background paper. I made mine using a shape that I made from the hot glue gun. Once the glue is dry you pick it up and use it on anything you like and you will always have a shape to continue to use time and time again. You can be so creative with this technique.
