A couple of cards I made last night

A couple of manly cards. I think men's cards are harder to create so when I find a good sketch I use it.

DO YOU WANT TO KNOW MY MIDDLE NAME?

Here are the rules: 1. You have to post the rules before you give your answers. 2. You must list one fact about yourself beginning with each letter of your middle name. (If you don't have a middle name, use your maiden name). 3. After you are tagged, you need to update your blog with your middle name and your answers. 4. At the end of your blog post, you need to tag one person for each letter of your middle name. (Be sure to leave them a comment telling them they've been tagged and that they need to read your blog for details.)

A-adorable
N-nice
N-naughty

Denise, Stacey, Terri tag you are it.

Opening presents

I had fun with this one, I cut out the trees from material I had and then mod podged it to the paper. I added some of my snow and made it look like it was snowing. Then I made the flower from some left over petals that I had and used a sparkly Christmas and stickers along the side. Isn't he just the cutest?

Birthday card

I have displayed any cards that I have been making so here is one for the weekly card challenge at Feeling Scrappy

Year in the Life Challenge-#4

The back just says how proud I am of all the hard work, sweat and love that went into building our new home.

Blog Challenge #4

Suzanne's blog challenge this week was to share a photograph taken this month and talk about it in detail.

Pretty easy, "The Old and The New". While the old house was a place I called home for almost 40 years (in July) the new house has very quickly become home to me. I am starting to get accustomed to all the new noises I hear and learn where they are coming from. Hey kids no creaks in the stairs. There are so many memories in the old house and no one will ever take them away and I know there will new memories in the new house. So while the old house sits empty waiting to find out what her future holds the new house looks over her every morning as a child watches over a parent.

Our Song

The challenge this week on Scrapfreak was: Do Phil and I share a special song and why he is special to me and then share the lyrics to your song

The person special to me is my wonderful husband of 7 years. When we first heard this song we knew it would be our song and the song we would dance to at our wedding. Still each time we hear it on the radio it brings tears to our eyes.

He is special to me because he makes me feel special about me.

"From This Moment On" by SHANIA TWAIN

(I do swear that I'll always be there.
I'd give anything and everything and I will always care.
Through weakness and strength, happiness and sorrow,
for better for worse, I will love you with
every beat of my heart.)
From this moment life has begun
From this moment you are the one
Right beside you is where I belong
From this moment on

From this moment I have been blessed
I live only for your happiness
And for your love I'd give my last breath
From this moment on

I give my hand to you with all my heart
Can't wait to live my life with you, can't wait to start
You and I will never be apart
My dreams came true because of you

From this moment as long as I live
I will love you, I promise you this
There is nothing I wouldn't give
From this moment on

You're the reason I believe in love
And you're the answer to my prayers from up above
All we need is just the two of us
My dreams came true because of you

From this moment as long as I live
I will love you, I promise you this
There is nothing I wouldn't give
From this moment
I will love you as long as I live
From this moment on

One of the pictures I did of Tyler for Christmas. Todd & Tyler went and helped get our Christmas tree this year. Actually Todd did the cutting and Tyler and I watched.

Challenge #3

Boy Suzanne, this is a hard one for me: Rant and rave! What holiday drives you nuts? Think of a holiday people fuss over. Write about loving and/or disliking that holiday.

Took me awhile on this one, but it is Easter. For me, we have gotten so involved with the Easter bunny and eggs that we have forgotten what Easter is all about. It should be about the resurrection of Christ and not the chocolate bunnies and all the candy (even though I love the candy). I believe there can be a balance but we have gotten so commercialized that little kids, as well as adults, have no idea the real reason for the holiday.

Jorja at Christmas

Some of the pictures of Christmas of Jorja

Blog Challenge #2

This week I am to focus on the first half hour of my waking day.

Now don't grab your coffee and get settled in for a long beautiful story because this is going to short and sweet.

My alarm goes off at 5:45 a.m. and I jump out of bed with joy and enthusiasm of starting a new day. I get a delicious cup of hot coffee, already made (I have it programed that way). Make a potty stop, feed my 4 beautiful cats who are very patiently waiting my arrival, turn on my computer and tv. Need to check out my scrappy sites of course, and listen to the local news. Thus concludes my first 1/2 of my every waking day, except for weekends.

Jorja at Christmas

These are just a couple of pictures of Jorja at Christmas time. The kids made 10 snowmen for all their grandmas and great grandma and Aunt & Uncles.

I used Basic Grey paper, the solid color I cut and ran through my crimper. The snowflakes are made of felt with a little rhinestone added for bling. I added the flower with a heart brad and the snowpeople are stickers. The wording are left over Christmas embellishments I bought on clearance at Hobby Lobby last year.

End of the Trail

Grandpa & I bought each of the girls a stick pony for Christmas and they ran around the island with their horses until Ally got so tired. I tried picking her up to put her in bed and she grabbed her horse to go with her.

Happy New Year

2007 was a great year in our homes. We finished moving everything from the old home yesterday. We are now officially all moved in and looking for a wonderful year in 2008. We don't even know all the adventures ahead of us but know that we have good friends to share them with.

I hope that your 2008 will be an even better year for each and every one of you. Remember to always try to find the good in people as well as some positives in the troubles that may come your way. Try to learn from them and become a stronger person.

Happy New Year
