Challenge on Frosted Designs

The challenge this time was to do a layout or card inspired by a Christmas song. The song that inspired me for this layout was "O Christmas Tree". Added some feathers, some of my flowers, and snowflakes made using sizzix, MS punch and Dove craft punch. The snowflakes are made from metal. The corners are made from the Cricut Heritage cart. I made the little candies from felt.

The ornaments are made of metal, that I cut using my sizzix and then embossed them.

I had the best helper with our tree this year. Of course many of the ornaments are at the bottom of the tree but I am not going to change any of it.

What I have been working on for my Granddaughter's Christmas gift

This is just a sample of what I have been working on. My granddaughter is just starting to learn to cook so I figured a very simple cookbook would be great to get her started.

Our theme for this month is CHRISTMAS!

I am showing you how to use toilet paper on your card.


You start with a stamp without a lot of little detail.



You put a single sheet of toilet paper on the stamp and then wet it thoroughly, put another toilet sheet on top of the last one and wet that one, keep doing this until you have 6 layers on. After this is done let it set until it is dry. This will take at least 3-4 hours to dry, you can use your heat gun but be careful and don't burn it. I let mine dry overnight.






After you take it off your stamp then you get to color it. I make my own spray so I sprayed it light red.




I added stickles and cut out the word with my sizzlits. Have fun and I hope you give it a try.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING

This has been a year full of ups and downs but I am so very thankful for all that I have been entrusted with. I am thankful for my on-line friends and all the support they have given me through the year.

Have a very blessed Thanksgiving. We plan to spend the day with family here in Michigan.

Sketch Challenge on Sisterhood of Scrap

I had fun making the flowers. I added modge podge to material and then cut the circles out with my sizzix.

Layout for a Blog Challenge

There were 5 Challenge Blogs participating in a Recipe Challenge.

We needed to find the ingredients and use them all on a layout. The sketch came from Scrap Tiffany.
ScrapFIT--use 3 of the same thing on your LO (I used brads on the flowers)
Crop Suey---needed to use ink, paint or mist or all 3. (I sprayed the white cardstock as well as the dryer sheets that I made the flowers from)
ScrapTiffany---use some LACE. (You can see my lace)
Cuttlebug Spot--texture or embossing (I embossed the vellum and then punched them out for the snowflakes)

The icicles are punched from a Marta Steward punch and then I used a gel glitter pen on that and the snowflakes.

Card challenges at Sisterhood of Scrap-Week 2

This first card isn't a challenge but I made it for a friend who just had surgery.

A Challenge at ABC DT Blog

For a challenge at ABC DT Challenge we needed to show stitching on our layout.

I hand stitched all the swirls on the left hand side of the layout. I also quilled the flowers. The big pink circle at the bottom is a piece of chipboard that I painted, added tissue paper and then Mod Podge and then put it in an embossing folder and embossed it. I made the brown flower on top of the circle.

The bigger flowers on the left are made from used fabric softer sheets that have been inked and stickled.

Challenge at Chop Suey

The challenge was to use at least 3 out of the following 5 items on your scrappy project/layout/card or whatever you choose to do!

*white cardstock
*buttons
*stamp
*ink/mist/paint
*distressing

I used white cardstock, buttons, ink and distressing. I made the flowers from used dryer sheets, inked them and then put stickles on. I used my new MS punch for the vines along the sides. TFL

These are the first 6 cards I have completed for the card challenge at Sisterhood of Scrap. One of these is my challenge using toilet paper, can you find it? Come on over, there is still time to jump in on the challenges. Very nice prize to the winner.

Challenge at Sisterhood of Scrap

Starting Monday, November 1st, at Sisterhood of Scrap we are going to challenge you to make 25 cards by the end of the month of November!! A new challenge will be posted every day for 25 days! That is right!! 25 of them! You will have until November 30th to complete them, and upload to the thread the challenge came from! Easy Peasy!!!

It can be Christmas cards, any other type of card, note card, even an ATC!!!
If you don't make cards or such, than you can use the daily challenges for layouts!!!

Challenge for Scrap it With a Song

For the challenge on Scrap it with a Song we used the song My Guy by The Supremes - Mary Wells

This layout was done for a challenge on Bo Bunny blog. Needed to use the sketch on their blog site.



All the papers are Bo Bunny except for the cut out at the bottom.

Challenge for Frosted Designs

This time for the challenge on Frosted Designs we were to use Die Cuts on our layouts. I used my cricut and the cart called Speaking of Winter and cut out the title and the snowflakes. I added glitter to the snowflakes.

Been a busy weekend for getting layouts done

After my kids left yesterday, I cleaned house, got laundry done and started scrapping.
