It's all about the feathers

Colleen from Scrappin Granny here to share a fun little card to make.

I started by just adding a brown piece of cardstock on top of my card.

The next step was to rub ink onto my embossing folder and then I put a piece of cream cardstock in
the embossing folder and ran it through my machine.  It adds some depth of the embossing.

I added the embossing cardstock to the top of the brown cardstock.

I used teal to cut out the feather using Feather set by EK Success.  Once I had all the feathers cut out, I starting embossing them.

The final steps are just adding the rest of the embellishments and laying everything down on the card. I decided it needed some more movement to the card so I added some vines to it.  I used Leafy Flourish by Cherry Lynn to create the vines.

Here is the finished card.

Perky Poppy Birthday Card.

March already, where is the time going?  Time to share a fun, bright, perky birthday card using dies from Dies R Us.

I started with the soft background cardstock.

Next I used the Perky Poppy die by Memory Box and cut out several poppies.

Since I wanted color from the poppies I glued them onto a piece of brightly colored scrap of cardstock.  Once they were glued on I cut around them.

This is what the finished poppies look like.

Next I used the biggest jar in the  Cutter Bee Die Set by EK Success to cut out a jar using a piece of corrugated cardboard and then covered the top with Goosebumps spray to give it a glossy look.

I used the Leafy Flourish by Cheery Lynn to cut several vines.

Now it is time to put them all together to create a pretty, perky card.  I used thin strips of left over cardstock to make the ribbon and bow around the jar.
