Time to Give Thanks

Today I am sharing something so easy and a great way to recycle.  I created this "Give Thanks" from a wine bottle that would normally be thrown away.

I started by spray painting the bottle and while I was holding it to spray the sides it fell from my hand and landed on the grass.  I loved the design it created so I just rolled the rest of the bottle in the grass.

Once it was dry I started wrapping the twine around the top of the bottle. I used Divine Twine Yellow for this bottle.

Once I had the top part of the bottle done I decided to add some down along the bottom as well.

A tip that I did to hold it in place is to use a little glue along the back and it will hold the twine in place as you wrap.

Now that I had the bottle where I wanted it, it needs to dry so on to the tags I went. I used the Large White Tags and I love the white tags as you can make them any color you want.  I started by adding brown paint to the tags.

Once the brown had dried then I added plain white glue over the top.  I buy this glue from the Dollar Tree since you get 2 bottles for $1.00.  Make sure you spread the glue all over the tags.

Once the glue gets tacky to your finger then add white paint over the top.

Let this dry thoroughly and when it has dried, this is the end result.

To finish the tags off I used two different alpha stickers. I made the flowers using my sizzix dies and some velvet material and finished it off with some leaves that I cut using dies

Please check out all the wonderful products at the Whisker Graphics store.  Until next time have fun creating.
