Paint me a white Christmas

My turn at Just Imagine Crafts/Kreaxion punches.

I purchased a paintbrush and painted it white. I added fringe and lace at the bottom and the top. The flower is one I made using the circle cutter. I used my tape gun to apply glue on white cardsstock and then laid my material on top of that, then picked the size circle I wanted and cut out the lime green circles and then the white circles. I folded the circles in half and then using a running stick to gather each circle and then sewed together to make the flower. I did the same thing with the white circles and put them behind the green flower, added some lace and little beads for fillers.

This is the best circle cutter I have ever used.

My mom's Christmas ornament

Taking some tutorial classes on quilling (thanks Shari), something I haven't done in a couple of years, and decided to make this for my mom's Christmas tree. I figured all the rest of the family will have their own ornaments she needed one as well. It is going to be so pretty on her small little tree.

Some Christmas cards

I made these cards for challenges at Turtle Soup,
why not come over and give some of the challenges a try.

Oh Christmas Tree

I want to show you a Christmas tree I made using Kreaxions punch 914. I used a styromfoam tree and painted it white (I didn't want the green showing through). I punched strips of paper and used both the positive and negatives, cut them to the length I wanted, folded the paper over and used a straight pin to put the paper in place. I used 3 different papers but this could easily be made with one sheet of colored paper. I also took some of the brown and light colored paper and wet the paper and rolled it around a wooden dowel I had, once it dried, I cut them in half and added them to the. To finish it off I put a flower on top. I just loved using this punch, gives such a Christmas feel.

Blog Hop--Just Imagine Crafts

If you arrived here from Ginni's blog you are in the right place, if not go back to Just Imagine Crafts

I made this cute little snowman for the blog hop. I used the circle cutter, and let me tell you if you haven't tried using one of these, you need to, it is so awesome and makes a perfect circle cut each time.

I made 2 different size circles using the circle cutter. I hand cut the hat and heart, used a black marker for the mouth. Added some ribbon to finish this off. I used a tea light so that he glows. Remember if you make this to make sure you cut holes in the layers so you can turn your tea light on and off. I hope you give this a try and wouldn't he be cute on your Christmas table??

I used the Circle cutter

Follow my blog and your name will go in a drawing to win these "Merry Christmas" stickers.

Happy Thanksgiving

I am showing you the centerpiece I made for our fall table. I took one of the plastic orange pumpkins that I bought last year and mod podged it with brown craft paper. While the pumpkin was drying I used the 309 and 903 punches to create the flowers. The bigger flowers are using the positive of the punches while the smaller flowers were made using the negatives. I added some burlap that I gathered to the bottom and flowers in the center to complete the look.

Gobble, gobble

Since Thanksgiving is rapidly approaching, I thought I would make something to put on my Thanksgiving table. I used the Kreaxion 903 punch and used the negatives to glue on top of a 12" wide sheet of paper, then scored the paper every 1/2 inch. I used pop dots in between the layers to make them stand out. Found a turkey head on line and just edited it, glued that and some leaves to a bottom base of chipboard and cardstock and my little turkey is complete.

Update on Holiday Pinterest Party

I have gotten so many stocking stuffers done for this. I can't show you or my kids will see what they are going to have in their stockings come Christmas morning. I guess you will have to come on over to the Kitchen and see all the wonderful ideas the ladies have come up with.

It's almost November and the holidays are right around the corner! Are you
all ready?

Kitchen Keepsake will be hosting a Holiday Pinterest Party from November
1st - December 24th and YOU are invited!!

All projects are due by midnight December 24th. All you have to do is
start a thread with your (P)interest name and post photos/links of the
holiday project that (P)inspired you and photos of your completed holiday
projects. It can be any holiday project, but each

(P)inspiration only counts once. In other words, if you make a cute little
paper clip bookmark as a stocking stuffer, making 100 of them will not
count 100 times. LOL

The person who completes the most projects will receive a huge box of
scrappy fun!

The Kitchen is here to help with some holiday inspiration, whether it's
gifts or recipes! Come join in the fun and see what everyone is
(P)interested in!

See you in the Kitchen and can't wait to see what you create.

House Christmas card

The challenge this week at Christmas card challenge blog was anything goes. So I made this house and wanted it to look like a winter scene. I used Kreaxions punches, Martha Stewart punch for the branches and a sizzix die for the fence, the sled was a stamp and then I cut it out.

Thanks for looking.

New Christmas card

The challenge this week at Christmas card challenge blog was to use an image of a snow globe as inspiration. I stamped the snow globe image and then cut out the inside circle of the snow globe and stippled the center and then glued it back down. Fun challenge.

How low can you go

These photos were taken several years ago at Trunk or Treat. This is for a challenge at Turtle Soup and for the challenge to use buttons at Scrappy Moms Stamps blog. My buttons are the 3 leaves at the top. It was nice to be able to use these buttons as they have been in my stash for a long time.

Sweet Little Girl

We took our grandchildren to Fort Mackinac a couple years back and the youngest one put on one of the soldier coats. I used an overlay that I have had for years, use a die for the doily and made the flowers from some scraps I had laying around.

This layout is for a challenge at Turtle Soup and for Party Time Tuesdays. Thanks for looking.

Spec the horse

My turn at Just Imagine Crafts. Today I picked a layout as my example for you. I used the circle cutter stretched as far out as it would go and cut out a circle and then cut another circle out of the center of that. I used the punch 309 on the inside of the circle with the 6.8 Kreaxions Positioning Parts for Corner Punch. I added twine around the circle for a rustic feel as well as putting burgandy paper behind to make the flowers pop out. I made the button flowers and added a few other flowers for fill in. I used a popsicle stick at the top and distressed it to make it look rustic.

Reveal day Just Imagine Crafts

For this reveal I am going to share a little Halloween bag with you. I started with a paper bag and then cut it in half. I used the 903 punch for the border around the top of the bag. I used the 309 punch and circle cutter to make the flowers on the front of the bag. I used the leaves that were on the 309 punch and glued them together to make the black flowers and then I cut up on the circles to make them look a little more leafy. Some black netting was added along with a lavender bow with of course a bat and spider to add to the Halloween theme. Fill this with candy and give it to someone special.

Happy October 1

New challenges are up at Kitchen Keepsake and these are my two.

For the card challenge, pretty easy, use some stitching, whether it is by hand or machine. Here is my card I made.

For the recipe challenge, you just need to use some staples on the page. Here is my page for one of the kids recipe books.

I hope you come over and check out some of the other challenges.

I made this card for my mom's 91st birthday and also for our DT reveal for Just Image Crafts
I used the Kreaxions #903 punch and punched the corners and then filled the corner in with the negative from the punch. I used the star pattern to make the circle and backed with green cardstock to make the flowers pop.

It's raining outside, but I am dry

This is my first project with Kreaxions DT. I used the circle cutter to cut my circle and then used the 903 punch to go around the the circle. Then I folded the circle in half and then folded it in half the other way and just kept folding until I had 8 folds. I glued toothpicks in each of the folds and then put a bead on the end. The center are 2 toothpicks glued together to make the handle longer. When I make this again, I would use white florist tape to wrap the handle. Also, at the very top of the handle I rolled a strip of paper around the top so that it didn't slide out. The size for this is up to you, mine is a 1/4 wide. Then I just added bows to finish it off. You could use color toothpicks instead of the natural ones and have an entirely different look. I love this circle cutter, it is just an awesome and easy tool to use. If you have never tried it I suggest you give it a chance.

This was Shelly's challenge at Kitchen Keepsake:

1. Scrap a page about your "sister" relationship, could be your own sister, someone else's sister relationship (kids, grandkids, etc) your very best friend or group of friends, your online sisterhood of scrappers, or your sisterhood with an inanimate object or activity that you think of as your friend (coffee, tea, ice cream, books, exercise, cooking - what makes you complete? the sky's the limit!)
2. Sisterhood is about "bonds and bonding" You MUST some type of metal fastener on your project (think staples, paperclips, binder clips, eyelets, brads, hinges, etc - - use that stash!)
3. Use something that you can "tie" - twine, ribbon, etc (the ties that bind!)
4. Lastly, add some sister love - - add a hidden heart somewhere on your layout (think of the hidden Mickeys all around Disneyland and DisneyWorld - - tuck a tiny heart somewhere on your layout and let us all see if we can find it!

Here is my take on it. I used the Kreaxions circle cutter and punch to make the big circle, Silhouette for the horse silhouette and the other embellishments are things I have had in my stash for years.

Candy Bingo

For a challenge at Gecko Galz you needed to create something using the 4 Bingo cards they provided free.

I wanted to do something with my grandsons so I create a Candy Bingo. I cut a paper bag in 1/2 and put the bingo cards around the bag and then ran 2 of each one out and then bought a bag of fall M&Ms. I called out the numbers and Tyler helped Riley find the numbers and put the M&Ms on the card. Once they got a bingo they could eat the M&Ms. They seemed to really enjoy the game, but wouldn't you if you got some M&Ms to eat.
