It's never too late to create beautiful Easter eggs

I had so much fun making these eggs and getting messy in the process. I am using these eggs as my entry for a Design Team member for ColourArte Paint Studio. If you are not familiar with ColourArte products, please check out their store.

I purchased these black eggs last year after Easter and will be looking for more this year. If you don't have black eggs you could paint them black or be creative and use white or brown eggs and create your own beautiful eggs.

Next I picked out the colors I wanted on my eggs and I put them on a paper plate and numbered the colors so I kept them in the order I wanted them.

Now comes the fun part. I used different sponges for each color that way keeping each color pure. You can buy these sponges at the $1.00 store for a whole package of them.

I started with the darkest blue and just dabbed it on the egg, all over.

After that blue is dry then I used medium blue, going lightly over the dark blue.

Wait for the medium blue to dry and then add the light blue, again just drabbing the color on, don't try to cover the other 2 blues.

After all the blues are dry start adding the next colors, I picked pink for my next color.

Now add the purple

Next just a touch of gold paint, dabbing very lightly. For the last coat of paint very, very lightly go over with some black paint, please very lightly or you will cover up all the work you have done.

To finish it off, I used a toothbrush that I stuck in the white paint and splattered it on the eggs.

I hope you give this a try and have fun creating. Thanks for stopping by and I look forward to your comments.
